NUGENT’S SERVICES AND AMENITIES

Nugent’s highly skilled staff is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each resident. To provide residents with the best opportunity to obtain and maintain their highest level of function. Nugent’s offer the following services:

REHABILITATIVE THERAPY
Physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies are provided for each resident at Nugent’s to better contribute to their care and recovery. RehabCare Group provides in-house rehabilitation services, as well as assessments in resident’s home after discharge.

NUTRITIONAL SERVICES
The Dietary Department monitors and provides each resident with nutritionally balanced meals based upon personal food preference and physician diet orders. Therapeutic diet, alternate nutritional need and enteral nutrition are available.

SOCIAL SERVICES
Nugent’s provide support to residents and families emotional, social and psychological needs through Social Services. A licensed social worker will regularly evaluate your progress and will be available for counseling and problem solving assistance.

ACTIVITIES AND RECREATION
At Nugent’s, our caring Activity Department is fully staffed to meet each individual’s spiritual, physical and emotional needs. The activities are based on the resident’s interests, choices and daily schedules. A variety of events are offered every morning and afternoon, seven days a week and two nights weekly, including but not limited to:
Ecumenical Religious Services Intergenerational Recreation Community Entertainers Word and Memory Games Seasonal Gardening Exercise Programs Arts and Crafts Music Programs Nature Studies Pet Therapy Bowling Bingo Golf Resident Council

LAB AND XRAY SERVICES
Lab Services are provided by Sharon Regional Health System on a bi-weekly basis. X-rays are provided by Physician Mobile X-Ray and are available seven days a week.

PHARMACEUTICAL SERVICES
To ensure highest standards of pharmaceutical protocol, Nugent’s arranges for pharmaceutical services delivered daily. The pharmacists are on call 24 hours a day and seven days a week

OPTOMETRY, PODIATRY, SERUMEN AND AUDIOLOGY SERVICES
Nugent’s offer Optometry, Serumen and Audiology Management for all residents through Senior Health Care Associates. Podiatry services are provided by highly experienced physicians in the community.

HOUSEKEEPING AND LAUNDRY SERVICES
General housekeeping and floor maintenance services are provided daily on each nursing unit. Personal laundry service is provided seven days a week and delivered to resident room every day including Sunday and Holidays.

SETTING/SURROUNDING
In addition to providing the highest quality of care, Nugent’s offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere with its tastefully decorated interior and clean and comfortable resident rooms. Residents and families can also enjoy the outdoors, which includes a park-like setting with creek, bridge, bench and gazebo; a large landscaped goldfish pond with a pleasant overlook; and an enclosed courtyard with flowers, shrubs and resident gardens.
